This is from my evening walk along the banks of the River Aff which, despite several prolonged rain showers this past week, is still completely dry apart from the odd shallow pool in deeply shaded areas, like under this footbridge. I met an acquaintance who has been walking here for over 50 years and he was astonished as he has never seen the river dry up before.
