Moonlight Dreaming by vignouse

Moonlight Dreaming

A tale of two realities - his and ours... or not! And who is she? Is she part of his reality... or ours?
This is stupendous. The atmosphere is wonderful. And is that Abraham Lincoln? :) Fav!

I love this mystically lit photo! It has its own story and it appears to be quite a dark story! In actual fact - she is just looking at her mobile and telling her friends what a dick he is!

Fantastic! Fav. I love the way the darks kind of frame the picture and the way the light place throughout the photograph. Great processing too.

One could write a novel around this capture. I love how the light catches the tree on the right, and the lit up strip of grass behind it. The reflected clouds in the water cause a dreamy effect. I've not mentioned the people here. Do they know each other? If they do, they are comfortable enough so the man can nap as she dabbles by the shore. Is he dreaming, or day dreaming? Do you see the story you tell with your photo? Amazing. I hope one day to capture my viewers like this!

@akirk Yes Amy, I'm lucky in that I can usually vizualize the final image in my head at the point of capture... I don't necessarily always get it right though! For what it's worth, the girl was actually with another man who's hidden behind the tree on the right, and this image was taken in bright early evening sunshine - all the processing was done in Lightroom 5.

I am learning Lightroom (5). I just bought it last summer and it feels like it may take years before I know the full extent of what it does! Your photo here is a fine example of how powerful the program is. In any case, I am not 100% certain that what we see in your final image is due to luck :) I do really enjoy your black and white shots. They stir something within...
January 9th, 2015
@akirk Sorry, I explained myself badly - the luck is having the ability to visualise an image in my head - after that, everything is planned... ish!

@vignouse I am working my way through my "favorites" here and with each one I study and ask "What exactly is it that you like about this?" And so here I am again, at this creation of yours. There is so much to like. We can't see the sky, but yet we know there were a few clouds as the reflection in the water tells us. The lighting is fantabulous here. I love that the guy on the ground is so comfortable he can lay back and relax a while. I also like that the girl by the shore seems really concentrated on whatever task she has. Sorry for the double (or is it triple) comments on this photo. I can't seem to stay away from it :)
