It's that Abbey again... by vignouse

It's that Abbey again...

Exceptionally I'm going to inflict Paimpont Abbey on you twice in the same week! I said that Monday's view was one you hadn't seen before and, looking back over this week's posts, I realised that I have never pictured the Abbey in B&W on here. I'm rectifying that with this image taken during this afternoon's dog walk around the lake.
You could show it everyday and give us a brand new point of view :)

I knew this was yours before I'd even scrolled down that far, just superb, beautiful processing

Beautiful textures. The lighting on the Abbey is beautiful. Beautiful b&w. Love this building. Thank you for sharing it with us!

What a truly beautiful building, one that has never let you down I bet with your photography. I had mentioned a while back to Kate that having one or two go to places helps for when your lack of inspiration keeps you from seeing the beauty around you. And the Abby is a perfect example of that. Because there are so many views to be seen and each a singular delight.

Nice soft B&W here - this is a huge building - must be great to walk around the lake and look at it!

Beautiful and great processing. Definite fav

@maggiemae Thanks Maggiemae, I'm glad you like it. I have a tendency to over process, so I processed this so that it looked too soft to me... and then softened it a bit more! The result is what you see here.

Love the darkness of the tree opposed to the lighter rest of the image! And this has such a dream-like feel!

This is a great shot, I suspect it looks so much better in B&W than it does in colour. Fav

Gorgeous shot, love the processing.

Who could resist photographing a scene like this a number of times. The details of everything stand out so well when presented in b&w.

Omg! This is even more fav-ulous!! I did a search on your paimpoint abbey tag and wow!!! Totally spectacular. Love the branches here, and I'm surprised that you got the detail you did with f/6.3. Which also raises questions and makes me want to experiment!

@kwiksilver Now you're making me blush! I don't always remember to tag these images but there are quite a few scattered through this project - the calendar view will help you find them if you're interested.
