Trees and Lapwings... by vignouse

Trees and Lapwings...

Some 300 metres due south from our front door, at the far side of a field of winter wheat, we look directly on to Paimpont forest which is mixed deciduous and evergreen. When I stepped out this afternoon I saw that I wasn't the only one enjoying the view and the sunny afternoon.
Wow, that is a lot of birds. Makes a wonderful sky for this lovely forest scene!

Great shot, I love the weather beaten wind swept look of the trees. It's nicely finished with all those birds. Fav

Love the B&W. There is some very good quality light here and all those birds in the sky give it a special touch.

Dramatic in black and white. I've never managed to get a picture of a murmuration.

I actually prefer the one with the blue sky, but then I love blue. This is very nice too, just before the other one.

Great capture and layers, even then hills to the far left. The birds against the sky are striking and the contrasting tones of the trees really add to the feeling of depth and layers Richard

Wonderful capture Richard. I love to see lapwings rise as the light catches the just like it has in this fav shot.

If they are lapwings then there are probably more there than left in the whole of Britain! Lovely shot Richard.
