...to this day, at the edge of a certain village whose history the few remaining inhabitants try to forget, at midnight on the eve of the Winter Solstice - and for the briefest of moments - those with the eyes to see may behold the Moon Tree in all its unearthly glory.
Definitely to be viewed on black... for the briefest of moments!
This is stunning with the moon perfectly framed by the trees. Did you have to create a composite to get this in the exactly right position or just wait for it patiently? It really is great.
Amazing, stunning photo! If you look at it a long while, the tree on the right looks like arteries spreading out into the black. Is it a Sycamore tree, Richard? I love winter trees. They show off their shapes and cures we can't see when they are wearing their leafy wardrobe!
This looks like one of those times when the moon seems so large you think it is coming closer - do you know what I mean. Wonderful capture. You use white to define the trees, just too cool.
@princessliz Thanks Joan but apparently the Fav button didn't work as it's not showing on my statistics - would you like to give it another try please... thanks in anticipation.
@jocee Thank you for your kind comments which are very much appreciated. View on black - left click with your mouse anywhere on the image and all the windows details will disappear leaving just the image (usually enlarged) on a plain black background - many images are better viewed like this. To restore the screen, either left click on the image again or click on the word 'Close' in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Congrats on PP
