The theme for the last week of B&W February is subjects particularly suited to a monochrome rendition... one of which is landscapes. This is a view of the small Loire Valley town of Savonnière taken from across the river (which is actually the River Cher very close to it's confluence with the Loire) at the level of the weir which has a 1.5 metre drop.
Can't believe this is February. It looks like what I would expect a spring shot to look along one of our rivers. You hear the water when you look at this picture.
The detail in the village beyond plus the detail in the tree bark is amazing! You have a real gift, Richard! Thank you so much for sharing here. Fav and, really, just exquisite
