If you follow me, you've seen Paimpont Abbey from many different angles and displaying many different moods... but perhaps not like this before. I took this on the morning dog-walk and as the day turned out, it was the one and only opportunity for photography today.
Thank you for all your comments and Favs which I appreciate enormously - last week was very hectic for me and I have not visited your projects as much as I normally would do: this coming week will be the same, so I beg your indulgence and assure you that normal commenting will be resumed soon.
@akirk Thank you Amy... but this B&W is in colour - albeit very subtle! I'm glad you like it, I wanted to do something different with a favourite subject of mine. And thanks for your new comment on 'Moonlight Dreaming'.
It looks as if it's deep winter here with the near-colorlessness of the image. That reflection is stellar and the one duck (loon?) adds the perfect extra touch.
I like the subtle color and framing in this shot... such a wonderful structure. It almost looks misty around the building. Very nice. On the commenting thing... we just do what we can. :)
@jack4john Your comment is well judged John because our commune is the home of the 'Arthur legend' in France. All the roads and streets are named for places and characters from `Knights of the Round Table' and there are sites conected with the legend throughout the area, especially Château Comper which is said to be Arthur's seat in Brittany and the 'Val sans Retour' which was Merlin's fief . The abbey and the legend together attract lots of visitors to the area.
Another wonderful shot with amazing processing skills to create a very evocative image. The blending of monotone with muted color is superbly done Richard.
A beautiful view on and a great capture of this beautiful building .the nice landscape and great reflections. Fav.
Thank you for you visit, the nice comment and the fav. Much appreciated.
