...driving home from a meeting in Rennes, as I passed through the town of Plélan le Grand just before midnight (check the time on the church clock) I was struck once again by how beautiful this church is floodlit at night. So although I have featured it before on here, I make no apologies for making it my 365 post today. Hand-held at 1/20 sec with a non-stablilised lens.
I find it remarkable that buildings that I pass in broad daylight... on foot, in the car...take on another allure in the hours of darkness. May be I need to be a sleepwalker, albeit seeing and understanding, so that I might see and know SO much more.
The up-lights seem to bring out the texture of the stones and the different angles of the roof. I should like to see our church all lit up like that, but I am not sure I can stay out that late!!
