NF-SOOC-2015 Day 9: La Roche Bernard - Old Port by vignouse

NF-SOOC-2015 Day 9: La Roche Bernard - Old Port

I never tire of this place - this shot of the inner harbour catches exactly the feel of this old port. In its working days in the 18th and 19th centuries, the quay would have been piled high with sawn pine for export to Egland to be used as pit-props.

This is my ninth image for NF-SOOC-2015 - you can read about it here - http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/26200/back-to-basics-nf-sooc-2015

I can see lots of pretty boats, so wonderfully different from commercially made yachts, like these three at the front. Back in the days when I sailed, this kind of mooring scenario sent me into a spin, especially if we were moored on the inside!

This is one of your go to places when on vacation and is beautiful. I need to keep some of your boat shots in mind when I go to Acadia. There are some wonderful harbors there.
