NF-SOOC-2015 Day 15: Dieulefit - pas un chat! by vignouse

NF-SOOC-2015 Day 15: Dieulefit - pas un chat!

Today we arrived at another of our favourite places - Dieulefit: the name translates as 'God did it' or God made it', which we think is rather wonderful. I took a walk through the quaint little streets this evening just after 9.30pm and, as you can see, the town was completely deserted or - as the French say - there wasn't a cat (to be seen). A month ago this street would have been heaving with holidaymakers but come the end of August, they disappear literally overnight. We like the town like this when its quaint charm can be appreciated.

View on black if you can...

This is my fifteenth image for NF-SOOC-2015 - you can read about it here - http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/26200/back-to-basics-nf-sooc-2015
This is a great shot, until viewed on black, and then it becomes something outstanding. Love it.

@btwebb No, as it says in the Data panel, this was taken at 21.35 - 3 weeks earlier and the street would have been heaving with visitors... I prefer he town deserted.
September 16th, 2015
@ivan Thanks Ivan... and actually, the street is dry - the shine comes from several hundred years of feet passing over those cobblestones!
September 16th, 2015
Brilliant on black, really 'leads' you up the street.
