Today was dark, dank, miserable, misty and rainy... perfect for a drive in the countryside with a camera! I've photographed these particular wind-generators on sunny summer afternoons and not been happy with the results... today's conditions finally tallied with the image I've been carrying in my head.
I sat in my office yesterday afternoon and just heard the rain pouring down. Thought thank goodness this isn't snow. Froze overnight. The mist makes it look like light snow on the ground. Becomes like a hi-key landscape.
I have seen many pictures of these new modern windmills, but I have never seen one in person and up close until our recent visit to West Virginia. While you get an idea as to how tall they are compared to the trees in you photo it does really register until you see them in person. Good choice of b/w and it does look even better against black!
