Pictured towards the end of my late afternoon walk... you can almost smell the cold just looking at this. Luckily my daughter bought me a pair of rechargeable battery powered hand-warmers for Christmas so I was quite toasty!
This has even more of a wintry flavour when viewed on black...
@maggiemae My daughter and her partner are 'outdoorsy' people so they know all about this sort of stuff. The hand-warmers also have a built-in torch and they can recharge a phone or a tablet; when used as hand-warmers, they provide heat at 47C for 7 hours.
Just bought myself a pocket hand warmer an - s boston. It's a great bit of kit. Don't know anything about the battery powered ones, but if they do the job that's all that matters. Like the sky and the tree detail here Richard.
BTW, regarding the bird feeder with nuts, actually saw a blue tit go to the bottom of the feeder to collect a nut, just got to get a photo of the event now. Quite amazing that they do that.
