Standing Tall

I always shoot in both raw and jpeg although my posted images are usually edited versions of the raw file. That said, I'm constantly amazed by the quality of the jpegs produced by the Fuji X series of cameras and often I can't better them no matter what I do to the raw image. This is a good example taken on my afternoon walk in Paimpont Forest - I just liked the feel of this.

On black is best I think...
Your perspective and the tree lines give a lot of depth to shot. I like the light as well.

Lovely... and the Fuji did this all by itself? It does have good taste!

Super - and even more super on black. I wonder what the magic jpg recipe is.

@jocasta This is my standard film simulation: B&W with a red filter; shadows pushed 2 stops; highlights reduced 1 stop and the sharpening reduced... that plus Fuji's magic produces this!

Faerie like, as befits local legend.

A most excellent shot. The lighting and compensations give this a magical quality. The forest floor seems to have a warm soft carpet feel. Fav.

They are nice tall trees and still small enough to let the sun down to the ground.
