Mrs S bought two very cheap Amaryllis bulbs from the supermarket a couple of months ago - a red one and a white one. Each had two flower stems with multiple blooms on each one - they have been brightening our lives for the last month.
The end has come though and this is the one of the last two remaining blooms drooping its head and preparing to fall...
This is also for my occasional 'looking up' theme - on black is more dramatic I think!
World weary perhaps...having provided us with colour, drama and photo opportunities. A tiny amount of money has given (many of) us great pleasure. A fitting thought for this manic season.
