Paimpont 2018: Day 9 - Dracula Beware!

It's been a very busy day and a very rainy day - the first chance I had to take a photo was whilst preparing dinner this evening!

I deliberately took this at ISO 12800 as I wanted softness in the image.
Lovely shot, Love garlic!

You should be safe in your bed tonight.

I didn’t realize the high ISO made images soft, but I see what you mean. I thought they would just get grainy. I like the white on white.

Nice white on white.

It's a compelling still life, and all I'm thinking of is what I'd do with them! :)

Now I will have to experiment with the high ISO...

Great still life...I like the white tones and garlics' textures.

Great spread and the white on white works so well

Agree with Kate, white on white is most effective. This could be a cookery book cover and/or a mounted print. Restful image. @kt8ird

great white on white ...My husband is allergic to garlic so we never have it.

I seldom change iso maybe I should after seeing this. Come to think of it I'm not much for camera settings, I use p mode and adjust the + and - a lot.

I like the way that the clove has escaped but only to find.... I truly appreciate the information about the high ISO- very very well done.

Great colour and texture. Lovely shot.

Nicely done Richard... you OK now after your unfortunate accident ... which was obviously due the the lurching of the ferry?

PS.. just read your profile update.. you've set yourself quite a brief, hope it works for you. You've certainly done amazingly well to maintain one a day (taken and uploaded) for such a long time. I gave that up after about 6 months as it doesn't suit the way I live.
