Paimpont 2018: Day 160 - Stamens

The Day Lilies are almost at an end now but I couldn't resist one last image of these mundane but nevertheless spectacular blooms... a brash counterpoint to yesterday's subtle rendering of honeysuckle blossom
Neat macro with fiery colors

Great color! I like it without a hint of green ...really lets the oranges shine. (I often have trouble framing such a shot, nicely done.)

The stamen are like long thin straight legs with pollen shoes on!

@maggiemae I guess they are a bit - I'm sure you know that the 'pollen shoes' are known as anthers and the 'thin straight legs' as filaments - together they form the stamens.

Beautiful macro- I wish the deer had not eaten mine (even though I treated them so they wouldn't!). As you said, they are so common yet photograph so nicely!

They remind me of swabs for examination. Interesting POV presenting these lilies in an unusual and alluring way.
