The Day Lilies are almost at an end now but I couldn't resist one last image of these mundane but nevertheless spectacular blooms... a brash counterpoint to yesterday's subtle rendering of honeysuckle blossom
@maggiemae I guess they are a bit - I'm sure you know that the 'pollen shoes' are known as anthers and the 'thin straight legs' as filaments - together they form the stamens.
Beautiful macro- I wish the deer had not eaten mine (even though I treated them so they wouldn't!). As you said, they are so common yet photograph so nicely!
