This follows on from yesterday's image - https://365project.org/vignouse/365/2019-01-08 - and is taken from the same viewpoint but looking south instead of north. Here we see another row of worker's cottages with farm buildings behind - the forge workers were supplied with food and lodgings... the farm provided the food.
I'm curious about this village. Is it just abandoned and sitting there or has it been turned into a historical site? I do like the old stone buildings. My husband would have loved to tour the old forge.
Great sense of perspective, the way the buildings are aligned. These people used to live in dire conditions, didn't they, but today's eye is enchanted by the bucolic aura. Great photo, as always!
