Framed by Trees

This follows on from yesterday's image of the 'Abbaye de Notre Dame de Timadeuc': the Abbey was founded in 1841 by three Cistercian monks who acquired a derelict manor house near the Breton town of Bréhan.

Although the Abbey is today composed of large imposing buildings, the manor house still exists and is now the 'hotellerie' for visitors to the Abbey... like me.

BoB - inevitably!
what a wonderful old building - beautifully presented

VML your treatment. I hope/imagine that there's more than the ivy(?) keeping the whole intact.

What an interesting building. I like the way it is framed between the two trees in the foreground.
