Waiting her turn...

...the male is at the feeder, the female is patiently awaiting her turn.

With 9 feeding stations we have literally hundreds of birds in the garden every day but this winter I haven't photographed them at all. I've put that right today with this little domestic scene of Mr & Mrs Greenfinch
This is such a storytelling scene that one would wonder if you composed it in photoshop -- but I know you didn't. Delightful capture!

Good capture. I like the varigated ivy. The yellow adds little additional pops of color to the photo.

I always get more birds during mating and nesting season. But I do get a few birds most days in the winter.
