Old Fashioned Remedy

The hot and humid weather we've been 'enjoying' for the last few weeks has brought with it plagues of flies - the joys of living in the countryside! Fly spray is effective but I'm sure it doesn't do us any good so I found an old box of 'fly-papers' in the cupboard... this was the result after the first 5 minutes hung in the kitchen window.

I actually managed to purchase some fly papers earlier in the year, I hate fly sprays but these seem to work so well. Makes an interesting image as well!

Not many flies on this but better than nothing. I remember in my childhood, a fly paper in the larder covered in flies!

Richard, that is revolting! But yes, a glimpse into "real life!" I'd show you MY fly papers here in Montana, and trust me, I'd "win" but you don't need to see that - NObody does!! You need to go head-to-head with @graemestevens for the macabre! It's a brave image, in my book! LOL!

Gosh, I haven't see fly-paper for so many years it's not funny. Agree with you re fly-spray though. We use as little as possible, and that's very little!!

This sticky stripes work better then any modern spray, I have two in my kitchen, country living decoration:)
