Point of Departure... by vignouse

Point of Departure...

...and Final Destination.

This was taken in the village of Concoret; the church is in the middle of the village and the cemetery is on the outskirts about 400m away. I liked the links between them, both actual and implied - visual, physical and metaphysical

And it's BoB I believe...
A wonderful composition that brings belief and faith to forefront.

Love the way you’re positioned and how the markers are all placed. It’s beautiful.

Including near and far gives this such a richness

A nice old cemetary. It has some character which many of the new ones are missing with their sleek granite headstones.

The black stripe on the spire comes out so well in this b&w!

The alignment of the two crosses in the foreground with the apex of the bell tower of the church is perfect. Yes, all kind of connections going on here, and brilliantly displayed (as always).

Great shot and title. In the village of Białowieża (near the border with Belarus) there are two cemeteries and two churches. The Orthodox cemetery is near the Roman Catholic church and is located at the eastern end of the village. Whereas the Catholic cemetery near the Orthodox church in the west. And so the funeral processions pass through the entire village only in opposite directions.

The difference shades of grey gives it a lot of depth.

A nice shot with an impressive variety of grave markers, and I like the church spire above them all.
