This was taken in the village of Concoret; the church is in the middle of the village and the cemetery is on the outskirts about 400m away. I liked the links between them, both actual and implied - visual, physical and metaphysical
The alignment of the two crosses in the foreground with the apex of the bell tower of the church is perfect. Yes, all kind of connections going on here, and brilliantly displayed (as always).
Great shot and title. In the village of Białowieża (near the border with Belarus) there are two cemeteries and two churches. The Orthodox cemetery is near the Roman Catholic church and is located at the eastern end of the village. Whereas the Catholic cemetery near the Orthodox church in the west. And so the funeral processions pass through the entire village only in opposite directions.
