...at left, one week after being 'beheaded'; in the middle, three weeks after being 'beheaded' and on the right, five weeks after being 'beheaded'!
A few weeks ago, whilst preparing carrots for cooking, I mentioned to Mrs S that as a kid, I used to put the cut-off tops of carrots onto a damp cloth and watch over the weeks as they regrew their foliage. Mrs S had never done this so we've been having fun regrowing the foliage of a variety of root vegetables.
This is for Get-Pushed #504 where my partner Annie @annied said 'Hi Richard, for get pushed I would like you to "tell a story in three photos" - think about not just your individual shots, but how they work together to capture a story.'
@annied Hey Annie, here's my response to your challenge - I just crept in under the wire... as usual. Good challenge - I was way out of my comfort zone 😉
Nice to know they have a hope at an afterlife (unlike the parsnips you posted in January) I got a kick out of that, as I did a whole silly story for our Welsh Choir Halloween “concert” on Zoom that we did just for ourselves, involving parsnips and how much I hate them. Yes, they can come back, zombie-like, if you’re not careful. So...sort of an extension of your challenge from last week (which you met brilliantly!) I’d like to see more anthropomorphism. Choose a vegetable and/or fruit, or several if you wish and have fun. You’re not required to use three photos to show what’s going on. In fact, extra points if any story you concoct fits into only one shot. I look forward to seeing what challenge you come up with for me.
I’ll try that tomorrow! I used to do something similar with sweet potato, putting the lower half in water, and with avocados’s seeds. Great results in both cases. So now I’ll add carrots to the list! Fav
Richard –
I am so pleased to be partnered with you this week. You are a phenomenal photographer with exceptional skills. It was hard to come up with a challenge that you may not have done much of in the past. And then, I realized that my last shot of my shoes could be considered a product photo – it gave me the idea for you!
How about giving product photography a go? Product photography is basically what it sounds like: photos taken and used to advertise a product. You can use your imagination for your choice of product and your choice of client the photo is for.
Richard -
I see that you must be very busy at the moment. Life does get in the way of 365 at times!
You can issue me my get pushed challenge late in the week if need be as I often save that challenge for the weekend.
Thanks, and have a good one!
get-pushed-504 your tag needs fixing :)
