This week it's Mrs S's turn to be responsible for opening and closing the Abbey at the beginning and end of each day. Sometimes I will join her and we take the opportunity to call in our favourite bar for a drink. But it's more than that as the bar is very much at the centre of village life and it's where we meet old friends, make new ones and discuss the affairs of the moment.
