A Year of Days - Day 346: A touch of seasonal whimsy
Mrs S and I (and Mitzi) spent the afternoon in Ploërmel, a medium sized town about 25 km away. Saturday afternoon two weeks before Christmas and the town centre was virtually deserted, unsurprisingly as half the shops have closed down. I have no doubt that the huge new shopping centre on the outskirts of town was heaving with shoppers!
One bright spot was this little scenario outside the photographer's shop - at least he's still open for business. I loved that the donkeys are sporting Unicorn horns... you can't beat a touch of whimsy.
