This gentleman spends time most days out on Paimpont Lake fishing... or drowning worms. He was just the wrong distance from the shore today so I had to do a lot of changing position to find a PoV where his head wasn't cut off by the distant shoreline.
Today's OCOLOY learning point: if you're aiming to do creative photography SOOC, you've either got to do a lot of 'chimping' to check that you're getting the effect that you want or use 'liveview' to compose your image (not easy if you're shooting in bright sunlight). The alternative is to do what I'm doing with this project and use a mirror-less camera with an electronic viewfinder. The Fuji X100T is typical of this type of camera as the viewfinder will show me exactly what the final image is going to look like (in B&W too) and I can see instantly the effects of changes in aperture, focal point, etc. You need all the help you can get when you're doing a project like this!
(You can find an explanation of OCOLOY in my 1 January post and in my profile.)
It must've been hard to find the pov for this, you should've climbed a tree! Hahaha, only joking.
I'm liking your daily 'lessons'. I have a mirrorless camera (well my son does, a Samsung NX300), so I might join you for a month of your quest soon! Perhaps I could do a OCOLOM?
I like the way the shores (close and far) cradle the lake in the shot. Also the tiny figure is so central ... tiny specks of people taking over a picture is a current obsession of mine (in viewing pictures anyway)

Very much like this weather in B&W.
