...although you might think otherwise from this little scenario which was, in fact, merely an impassioned conversation.
Captured in my favourite watering-hole yesterday evening. I'm posting this late because the high winds we had last night caused an over-voltage on the local power-lines which tripped my PC and scrambled windows somewhat, as well as the network router and switch. I gave up working on it at 4am and finally restored everything to working order this afternoon, so I can now post!
Has even more impact on black!
This image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.
These recently installed mirrors in our favourite watering hole are going to have a lot more to answer for as the Summer season approaches. Watch this space!
The more I Iook at this the more I like it! It took me a moment to realize this is a reflection shot. The reflection allows us to see both faces of the two men chatting, but it is the strong diagonal of people looking that draws my eye especially the little girl looking out of the shot and the young woman who is standing who appears to be looking into the shot, yet both are in the middle of the shot! I really like this!
big FAV for me. So much to look at. Especially like how different people look through the mirror. I love this sort of photography - tells a great story.
i know this place...but you've kept you and Mrs S out of shot this time...pity about the power troubles...lovely capture of the people at your fav watering hole...
@ukandie1@jocasta@jasperc Thanks all: what particularly fascinated me was the relationship between the two men which takes on a completely different character depending on whether you look directly at them or at their reflection. I noticed this in the bar and was so glad that I was able to capture it in this image.
Curious shot, Makes me wonder what the conversation is between the two men and how the Guy on the right looks taken back in the mirror, yet relaxed otherwise. It's a fav for me Richard.
This is a stunning shot, which says so much. When looking straight at the scene it looks very dramatic. However when looking at the scene in the reflection, the guy with is arm being held is calm and relaxed. Love these polar opposite looks Fav
This is like a still from a movie where the audience is waiting for the story of each character to reel backwards and unfold... reaching up to this point again. Intriguing!
