A morning spent in the Parish Gardens clearing up fallen branches after the high winds of the last two weeks and an afternoon at Rennes for my 6 monthly cancer scan left little time for photography, so I snapped this whilst cooking dinner. It's part of Mrs S's collection of flower vases and knick-knacks that lives on top of the kitchen china cabinet. This is for the B&W Light & Shadow challenge: I would have loved to have been able to do a little crop... but maybe it's best as is.
The shadows stand out better on black...
This image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.
i love the - for want of a better term - 'knick knacks - on the shelf. The light and swirly shadows are beautiful and all add the interest of this image.
I agree with Corinne. I like the the shadows and the interesting things Mrs. S puts into the vases. ( @cocobella I could read it, just double checked the translation with google)
Not surprisingly, I like this too and only a lot! These receptacles are my go to vases and enjoy regular service when the garden comes into its own. @cocobella@randystreat@maree_sanderson The shoe trees/embauchoirs and the tulips are all made from wood and like most of the bases came from charity/goodwill shops. The little bird on the swirly vase is a robin whilst the other is a blue tit.
