Paimpont Abbey - which regular followers of my project will know well - was founded in the year 645 by St. Judicaël who was at the time a monk in the Abbey of St. Méen. Whilst on a pilgrimage to Paimpont, the Virgin Mary appeared to him in a vision and asked him to found an abbey on the banks of Paimpont Lake, which he duly did. This statue of him stands in the parish gardens at the spot where he is reputed to have had his vision.
As usual, the image is SOOC and is part of my ongoing OCOLOY project - you can read more about it in my profile.
