Hi Richard, I read your bio, and as I know you will understand, because of what you say in it, whilst I would love to go back and view many of your photos, I simply can not dedicate the time. I agree with you about why people give up on this project and am coming close to this myself but am also finding that the project is helping me immensely to improve my photography. Anyway, just wanted to say thank you for putting so much thought and effort into everything. So, this picture. I like the strong lines of the mushroom and the oak leaf lying in front. It is a pleasing composition with lots of texture. Autumn is definitely upon us here in UK and it is looking like you are not far behind in Brittany. Thank you for looking by on my project. I hope to be back on yours from time to time. Always enjoy the B&W shots and SOOC is admirable. I think I have you to thank for the square September challenge too. Most enjoyable. Apologies for the 'essay'
@helenhall Thank you for your thoughtful feedback Helen Jane - I very much appreciate you taking the trouble. Hang on in there and good luck with finding a way to make your project sustainable.
@gamelee Interesting observation Lee, and you're quite right - this is indeed monotone as the whole scene was just shades of brown, except for the grass at the top but it has a similar tonal value. There is, in fact, both pure white and pure black in this image - the specular highlights on the mushroom's cap and the shadow beneath it.
