Subtitle: Bored on a rainy day with 'phojo' gone awol!
On the landing outside our bedroom and bathroom there is a table with what can only be described as a triffid sitting on it (it's actually a rampant begonia!). Such luxuriant growth requires regular watering and Mrs S keeps a small brushed stainless steel indoor watering can sitting on the floor under the table... I spotted my reflection in it on exiting the bathroom and this little plot was hatched. The black lump at my feet is actually the Nikon D610.

Definitely scary on black! My first thought, before reading your description, was of an astronaut waiting to board a spacecraft - see, my imagination is running rampant!
