PLAY January - Nikon 50mm f/1.4G: Les Forges Paimpont by vignouse

PLAY January - Nikon 50mm f/1.4G: Les Forges Paimpont

Disused workers' cottages in the village of Les Forges, Paimpont, captured this evening as the sun was setting.

This is for my PLAY project - you can read more about it in my profile - where I'll be using a different prime lens for each month of the year: in January it's the Nikon 50mm f/1.4G on a full-frame camera (the D610 today).

What a beautiful shot Richard, I just love the sunlight on the buildings and trees, and what a wonderful centre piece that tree makes.

Love the texture in the stone wall and the detail in the tree branches. And, of course, the light.

Sad is disused. Perhaps not for long if your shot is going to be on the real-estate market.

@ducasrouge All of these buildings are for sale... and have been for several years! The cottages were for workers in Les Forges de Paimpont; the right hand building was a farmhouse.

@vignouse You are doing better than I am. In my inactive state I have been considering ways of refreshing my photography...only 2 ideas so far: back to film or give up! As I am quite disabled with no sign of being able to walk again the latter looks like the easiest option!
