PLAY February - Fujinon 18mm f/2: Trois Roches by vignouse

PLAY February - Fujinon 18mm f/2: Trois Roches

There's this place in the forest (close by the ruins of the former German WW2 army camp) known as 'Trois Roches' because, completely out of context, there are three enormous boulders seemingly placed at random. And yes, I know there are only two boulders here but the third is at a distance from these two and hidden by trees, so it's not possible to get all three in the same image. I liked two out of three well enough to make them my main post today.

This is for my PLAY project - you can read more about it in my profile - where I'll be using a different prime lens for each month of the year: for February it's the Fujinon 18mm f/2 on an APS-C sensor camera (today the Fuji X-Pro1) - the equivalent of a 28mm lens on a full-frame camera.

BoB... and this is also for Flash of Red February.
Really like the contrasts of shapes and the composition

VML how the leaves are continuous. No gaps. Creepers on several trunks, velvet moss on the boulder/s; pleasingly atmospheric.
