Whilst in Paimpont village earlier this evening I took some candid street shots that I thought might have some merit. So it was with some anticipation that I recovered the memory card just after 11pm to upload the results to my PC...AARGHHHH!!! No *&%££$~ memory card in the camera! I had forgotten this unfortunate trait of my Sony NEX 6 & 7 to allow you to shoot happily away without any indication that the memory card is absent: you even get a preview of the shot you have just 'taken' on the rear screen to lull you into a false sense of security.
This was taken in the garden in the rain in order to have something to post for my PLAY project - you can read more about it in my profile - where I'll be using a different prime lens for each month of the year: for May it's the Sony 16mm f/2.8 on an APS-C sensor camera (today the Sony Nex-7) - the equivalent of a 24mm lens on a full-frame camera.
I connect my camera to my computer and download that way. I don't have a place from my memory card. But I remember taking firm pictures when the film wasn't set right and no pics. (Like for my nephew's wedding. Ah well. this is a very beautiful picture.
Surely Sony has has shedloads of feedback on this issue. Many of us like to think that Sony knows what it's doing :-o
