Canadian syle platform tents at Azay le Rideau... by vignouse

Canadian syle platform tents at Azay le Rideau...

...at least, that's what they are adverised as! There are various sizes all with a wooden structure which supports a small cabin with a canvas roof; underneath the platform are benches and a table. That's our Motor Home/RV you can just see parked up just behind the tree.

This is sooc and shot with the equivalent of a 50mm lens so it meets the criteria of my nf-sooc-2017 challenge as an extra post for today..

...and it pops nicely on black!
9.33 is not too late for a good night shot! Looks a good place to park for the night. Interesting about the platform tents -above flood level?

@maggiemae Partly I guess but it's also a style thing I think - there's another actually floating in the river (10 metres away) on inflatable pontoons.

Interesting. Think at my age I would prefer the rv or a hotel room. Done the tenting thing. You could wonder what lies in the dark.

@joansmor Interesting? That bad, huh!

@vignouse No it was fun when I was a child but when I got older sleeping on air mattresses lost it's charm.

@joansmor They have real beds in them - I looked through a window!

That looks like fun - I like the idea of real beds!! :-) Lovely use of the street lamps for the cool lighting you have captured.

it does pop nicely, you get to see more contrast

Sharp crisp detail in what looks to potentially be a real adventure.

A lovely shot and a fabulous idea.

Cool! Love the lines and high contrast. I have a cold of Mongolian yurts in my place in Sardinia, if you ever want to try... real beds, of course! And fully functional bathroom!

The trees and the lights create a relaxed atmosphere, not to mention the river running just a few metres away.. You've captured it well.

One day I'll try some night photography. You are very good at it.

@yrhenwr Thanks David - it's something I really enjoy so I always look for an opportunity... not tonight though, it's absolutely bucketing down with rain.
