Today I visited the same decrepit building I saw on day two. On that day I stopped for the derelict structure and took many photos, but ended up settling on a picture of a log that was next to the building. I was quite happy with it at the time, but a few weeks on and I already think the quality of my photos has markedly improved.
The sky was overcast and gloomy, but I think it looks quite good in the image. A few weeks ago I would have been disappointed that it wasn't a bright blue day; today, I used it as a feature.
Comparing the photos I took today of the building to the ones I took then, I even think my eye for an interesting image has improved. I took far fewer today but they were better. Importantly, my Photoshop skills have also improved. I think that deserves a modest "hurrah"!
It's starting to get busy at work. For those that don't know, I'm an Internal Communications Manager, and the Company I work for is launching a new Intranet. It's actually pretty interesting, and we're approaching the launch date. It's a fairly creative role, sometimes demanding and very varied. In case you haven't noticed by my sometimes lengthy diatribes, I enjoy the writing aspect!
I mention this because the quality of my pictures may suffer over the coming weeks as I get busier at work. But I will try my utmost to maintain the high standards I have set myself. I may think I've got better, but I know there's a lot of room for improvement.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

This is stunning and beautiful. I've found myself revisiting places I'd gone to in the beginning of the project and seeing things in a whole new way. I really love it
Your photo is very interesting and certainly fits the weekly theme...it's so exciting to read your description here...your involvement and goals within 365 is shared by many...
Very eerie and awesome. I thought the door way had a broken mirror halfway down the brick and that it was reflecting the sky. I was startled to realize it wasn't a mirror but the sky behind the building. Fascinating. Love it.
