So, I've shaved my beard this evening. And the winning moustache is... the biker from the Village People - by a landslide! What else could I photograph today other than me with my 'tache?
I increased the shadow and had a choice between maintaining the grain that comes with a photo at this high an ISO, or masking it. In the end I compromised and kept a bit of both. I also converted it to black and white, because as you probably know I'm a fan of a good monochrome portrait, but opted for colour as I haven't got a colour portrait in my collection so far.
So, tomorrow I'll be wearing the full Village People regalia. Should be uncomfortable, but fun. Upon reflection I should have worn the studded gloves in this picture - that would have raised the 'campness' to another level!
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.
