Work was a little livelier today. A colleague who had been on maternity leave for over a year was back today, and it was nice to get some more company in the team as it's so quiet at the moment. I've asked her to bring in her baby so I can take some photos. I've got to think ahead!
For my 30th birthday my other half's best friend bought me a pocket watch. It's a cute, quaint little thing. I haven't really worn it yet though, but I do like it.
I took this photo a few times with my hand in different poses. I tried it with a white background and this dark background, and preferred the latter. I also changed the hue and saturation to give it a slightly vintage feel, but I'm not sure if it works. You can also see what time I took the picture!
I've decided to take back my Canon telephoto lens. There's nothing wrong with it, and I would recommend the 55-250mm lens if you're after an economical telephoto zoom, but I just don't think I'll use it that often. I may even purchase it again in the future, but for now I'm veering towards a prime lens; perhaps Canon's 28mm f/1.8 as I use my 50mm f/1.8 all the time (including today). Time will tell...
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.
