Today felt like the longest day at work. I even had time to slope off in the afternoon and visit the decrepit building I've dubbed 'The Ruddington Ruin'. You might recall that I last visited this place on day 22 for one of my more popular pictures.
I remembered when I was last here that there was some graffiti on one of the dilapidated walls, and I wanted to capture it today. It might be difficult to see, but the unusual statement reads "work on your lettering". In post-processing I underexposed the sky to make it look more dramatic.
I think my new 28-135mm Canon lens arrived today. Unfortunately I wasn't at home to sign for it, so I'll pick it up in the morning at the Post Office depot before I go to work. I want it for this weekend because the Nottingham Riverside Festival is on and I want to do a shoot there. The annual Riverside Festival fireworks display will be on Saturday night, so I want to attempt capturing fireworks for the first time.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.
