A strange coincidence occurred today. Yesterday I took pictures of a caterpillar that I brought into the office. Today, a big butterfly flew indoors and fluttered next to me. I wonder, is it the same caterpillar that I shot yesterday? Of course it's highly unlikely, but I'd like to romanticise what happened and think that it is.
It looks like it's looking at its reflection in the window, or longing to get outside. Not the greatest picture but I had to get what I could before it flew away, and it was flapping its wings incessantly. It was huge!
Yesterday's photo is my most popular picture yet. It has reached the 'Explore' page of Flickr, and for somebody who regularly visits that page for inspiration, I'm quite honoured! I think that means its one of the top 100 popular photos for today. It has been viewed hundreds of times, has lots of comments and its been made a favourite by many, so the cycle continues. I have often thought it would be great to get a photo of mine to that page, and it's happened!

Such a hairy little guy! Cool shots (today and yesterdays). And congrats on getting recognition from peers that you look up to like that. :) Well deserved.
The butterfly really does look like it is looking at it's reflection. I did not notice the reflection until I actually clicked onto the photo. There is much missed in photos, when you just look at the thumbnail shots.
ps) saw your thread...wow, congrats on that caterpillar making explore on flickr! thats soo awesome!
