So, I went to the doctor today about my shoulder. I've either sprained it heavily or I've had a muscle tear. I'm pretty certain it's the latter because there was an audible rip when it happened, although it's only a minor tear if that's the case. I've got limited mobility, and it hurts when I pick up my camera! When I take my prescribed tablets it doesn't hurt so much though.
It was getting late and I couldn't think about what to photograph, so I just grabbed the guitar that sits in the corner of the living room and took a few photos.
I used my trusty Canon 50mm lens at its highest aperture of f/1.8 to take these snaps, and concentrated on the curvature of the guitar. I then created a diptych in Photoshop.
I wanted to try a diptych for a while. I even attempted it unsuccessfully yesterday. In case you're unsure of what a diptych is, it's two related images side by side. It's funny that I used the guitar, as I've looked at it many times when I've needed a shot and tonight, for some reason, I looked at it differently and got quite a few photos I was happy with. Sometimes you just need fresh eyes.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

Love your guitar pic. I grandson is very interested in guitars -- he wants to learn how to repair them and even to build them. So when I saw the thumbnail of your guitars I was interested to see the "rest".
I first saw your beautiful muscial instrument on the Popular Page this morning.
best of luck with the shoulder!
