My brother interviewed for a job last week in London. He got a phone call this morning informing him that he got the role! They needed to whittle 30 candidates down to three, and he was one of the chosen few. I'm happy for him, although it's been quite nice spending some time with him over the past few months since he finished university.
The weather was pretty good today too; there was sunshine in abundance. I thought it best that I go on a shoot today, as the weather's been pretty unpredictable so far this week. My brother and I went to Newstead Abbey, Lord Byron's former home. After taking some shots of the actual building, we ventured through the gardens and stumbled across Eagle Pond.
I took hundreds of photos. Although I usually dither when selecting a daily photo if I take this many shots, I knew as soon as I got to this place that this was going to be the landscape of choice. I've always wanted to shoot a clear reflection like this with my bad-ass ultra-wide angle lens! The other good news today was that my car passed its MOT. My Audi A3 is three years old, so it's my car's maiden test. Past experience with vehicles has led me to expect the worst, so it's always a pleasant surprise when nothing is wrong and no excessive cost is incurred!
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

This is a cracking shot Vik... great stuff.Congrats to your bro and as for MOTs.... I equate them to hanging outside a waiting room, waiting for a doctor to come and give you the bad news... Also hate AGMs by the way...
Hahaha, the effect you achieved with the wide-angle lens is indeed bad-ass. :D It's beautiful; I love the mirrored effect. Congratulations to your brother also. :)
