I woke up late again for the second consecutive day. I know it's the weekend, but I've had the mother of all lie-ins twice in a row now. I sometimes think that a long lie-in can have a negative impact, in that it can make me lazy for the remainder of the day. True to form, bar a couple of chores I did very little, and the only photos I took is of the cat that likes to make regular visits to my back garden.
I got to use my new flash for the first time taking this shot. In post-processing I increased the contrast and clarity and converted it to black and white. I also cropped it a little, something I'm loathe to do these days. I'm a little annoyed that I cut off the top of the feline's head as I pressed the shutter button, but it's more difficult taking snaps of animals than it is of babies in my opinion.
This is the same cat that I photographed way back on day 23. Since that day he or she has visited almost daily, and sometimes more. It seems to have befriended me; I sometimes sneak it in to the living room when Suman's away!

It's so detailed, I love it - although, I'm not a big fan of cats. I really like his whiskers because they look like streaks of light drawn on photoshop.
Nice shot and like the B&W. I also agree about what you say photography cats - When one deciced to pay me a visit a while back, he just wouldn't pose!!!!!!!!.
Animals can be crazy-hard to photograph. You can spend three hours with a baby to get a decent handful of shots, but sometimes it is just impossible to get a single good one of a cat or dog!
