I fancied doing a night shoot tonight. Of what I wasn't sure, so I set off for a little drive looking for something enticing. It took me a while, but I came across this building that's close to the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham's main hospital.
This is Lenton Lodge, a building I've driven past on numerous occasions. I've never stopped to really look at it until tonight; it's funny how becoming a keen amateur photographer makes you notice places that you hadn't before. As you'd expect, I took this using a tripod and a long exposure. In post-processing I increased the fill light, clarity and highlights.
Lenton Lodge used to be a former gateway to Wollaton Hall. I went to Wollaton Hall - a historic Elizabethan mansion - last Winter to do a shoot, but since then I've improved immensely. I think it's about time I revisited that building.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

Nice one! Great symmetry here. I like the low ange, and that wide lens distortion gives a strange sense of depth - definitely adds to the spookiness appeal!
