I love tea; it's my favourite drink. I have a few novelty mugs, and this is one of my favourites because I love monkeys too! That reminds me, I've got to get myself down to Twycross Zoo again in the near future...
I deliberately shot this at an aperture of f/2.8 because I wanted to test the background blur, because I'm thinking about getting Canon's 17-55mm f/2.8 lens next. I think it's quite a pleasing depth of focus that will be useful for the types of candid portraits I enjoy taking.
I had mugs on the mind today. It's because I suggested a Christmas present to my better half today, the replica mug that imitates one of Canon's lenses ( http://photo.net.au/giftsngadgets/images/P/canonMug.jpg). How cool is that?!
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

Don't forget to test the background defocus with the actual lens too - it varies widely between lenses because of the actual aperture diaphragm. Like the new 70-200 f/2.8 L IS II - the bokeh is not as nice as the previous lens version (and the only reason I didn't upgrade mine, in fact).
