Day 60 - The street cleaners were out and about early in Glasgow this morning. The amount of takeaway food cartons and packaging at the moment is higher than normal, and the guys had a busy shift just trying to clear one area. Binman Bill went toppling over a banana that had been tossed away. Plenty people on hand to call the emergency services and get Bill some help. (Don't worry folks!) "More and more people are buying take away food and using take away home delivery services, but the problem is the increase in the rubbish at the side of the roads as the cups and wrappings are tossed out of windows, or just dropped whilst walking", commented Jim the sweeper. People need to step up and dispose of their rubbish responsibly. PhotoNinja documented the scene for the lunchtime news slot.
