Potato Fudge by wakelys

Potato Fudge

Thank you @casablanca for sharing this recipe on 6th July. It sounded an odd thing to make fudge out of potato but it works. My step daughter loved that it was crumbly and took most of it away with her.
Oh 10/10 for giving that one a go! It is a bizarre idea, isn't it? But it tastes creamy and crumbly and lovely. Well done.

@serendypyty I halved the quantities just in case it didn’t work out. Still plenty to sample.

Looks good! In 2 different shopping trips I bought a pack of icing sugar and we have little ants very interested in sugar, so I think I will try this too :)

@sangwann @kvphoto @kfpartist surprisingly it tasted of smooth crumbly fudge with no hint of potato.

@ingrid01 I halved the quantities as we do not have a very sweet tooth. Although it didn’t last long when my step daughter visited.

@ninaganci 3oz Mash, 1oz butter, 4 oz chocolate (I used dark), 1lb icing sugar. Melt butter & chocolate. Add mash & icing sugar. Mix together. Knead then press not dish. Pop into refrigerator for at least an hour. I halved the recipe and cut into circles for julycircles2020. Enjoy. Look forward to seeing your results and verdict.

I've never heard of potato fudge have had potato candy. It's the potato mixture rolled out, spread with peanut butter then rolled into a pinwheel and sliced. Very good.
