Hickory dickory dock the mouse ran up the clock. (Can you spot the mouse?)
When we had a cat he bought a mouse in who ran behind this clock. Sadly when we move the clock and cat, the mouse had died.
Most probably the mouse has gone into hiding when I saw this shot. Beautiful capture of this time piece. One of my ambitions years ago was to make a grandfather's clock - never set myself on doing it though. However I made four Tal-Lira (Maltese) traditional clocks keeping one for myself and giving away the others to my two children and to my wife's brother.
@randystreat@sangwann my father-in-law made the casing and enjoyed bring old clocks back to life. He made one for each of his 5 children. My husband didn’t think that I would want it in our home. I never met my father-in-law but love that the clock lives on. It keeps fairly good time and chimes on the hour.
