Fun couple of hours having a go a Gig rowing. Such fun and beautiful weather.
Anyone wanting to brave the pub would either need wellies or get wet feet.
@ingrid01 this has happened approximately 5 times since April but strong winds and high tides may also cause flooding. The local are quite robust and have their wellies at the ready and for each high tide there will be a low tide so there is an hour either side of high tide.
Is it seen as a sign of climate change and associated sea level rise?
It looks ominous to me for all the sunshine and stoicism. Great collage. @wakelys
@ankers70 thank you. The very high tides are known as spring tides when the Sun, moon and earth are in alignment at this time the high tides are very high and the low tides are exceptionally low.
A good collage. I like to see all the shots of the places near where you live and the people and their boats. I'm curious. The water get into those buildings?
@randystreat thank you Kathy. If you look closely at the lower right picture you will see shuttering across the lower part of the door. Some other houses have sandbags as well.
