Have a Coke (And a Smile) - Shadows to Black

Shot through the window of a pharmacy in a nearby town. Leica M3, Fuji Acros. Acros is great for inky blacks. This pharmacy is old-school. It has a soda fountain and round swivel chairs at the counter. I took this shot at around 5 p.m. I remember placing the lens flat against the window, there are no reflections as a result. I have no idea what the exposure was, sort of wung it using a twisted variation of Sunny 16. Another shot I took through this door from a few feet back captured reflections from the street.
Nice shot. So is this the type of thing that your challenge is aiming at. I'm afraid I found it a little difficult to decide how to interpret it. Are we looking for shadows which merge into total black? :)

@robz Hi, this is my own interpretation of shadows to black. I put uf a few other images on the challenge and if you read the challenge, I linked a blog post of mine with one image showing a distinct shadow (although it is in color). It could be any number of other interpretations. I know it is something a bit different, but I am a supremely odd duck. So often today, we are pigeon-holed to suck every ounce of dynamic range from the shadows of an image. This is a different approach, using the shadows in a different manner. Hope this makes sense.

Hi, I am happy you started this challenge, because this technique is completely new to me. I have read through the material and used yesterday afternoon's sun to give it a first go. I am not happy with the result yet, so I am going to have some more fun with it and I will submit an attempt before the challenge deadline.

It definitely looks like a throw back to the 50's era. All you need is a pretty girl with a pony tail, saddle shoes and a poodle skirt to complete the picture!

I like this, like someone just left the chair and what now? The grain is very interesting too.

@olivetreeann @ingajohansson Thank you. Shooting through windows is something I enjoy. Acros is a wonderful film, sadly discontinued. But there are other great black and white films to use, so we soldier on.
