Églantine by waltzingmarie

Églantine

"Églantine" is the name given at birth to my grandmother, and the name of those wild roses. However, when she started school, she had to change her name; the sisters running the school thought it was inapropriate. For the rest of her life, my grandmother was known as "Cécile". But sometimes, when Summer started and the wild roses grew, she would remind us of her secret name.

I’m glad the memory of her real name is preserved by the rose. Very nice details in the shot.
